I participated in my first blog event tonight, the latest assignment for blogging class, and tried my hand at flash fiction. The source was Micro Bookends, a contest which provides the first and last word for a very short story that participants create. It also provides an image that must be worked into the story. I don’t care if I win or not–this should be fun! A new one runs every Thursday, further ensuring I will keep my 2015 resolution of writing something every Thursday. At this point, how could I not write something!?

Here are the rules. You don’t have to sign up or anything, just go to the Home page, click on the title of today’s article, and enter your own story in the comments section. It should be between 90-110 words and it’s easy to go over, so use a writing program with a word counter, and give it a couple of proof reads before submitting.
